Polish military plane crashes into ground during exercise

During an exercise, a Polish military aircraft dived nose-down, hit the ground and exploded, emitting a fireball, killing the pilot instantly.
Newsweek reported that a video circulating on social media showed that the military aircraft was rehearsing yesterday (12th) in preparation for a performance at the 30th anniversary celebration of the Gdynia Naval Aviation Brigade today (13th).
The rehearsal was held at a local airport, and the M-346 trainer was piloted by pilot Robert Jeł.
The video shows that after the military aircraft flew to a high altitude, the nose of the aircraft was pointed downward, and it seemed that it wanted to perform a roll performance of diving and then flying upward, but the military aircraft was ups and downs and failed to fly upward, and then dived straight down at 90 degrees.
After the nose of the aircraft hit the ground, the impact caused the fuselage to rebound to a distance of 100 meters, causing an explosion, and a huge fireball rushed into the sky. The video can be heard from the screams of the person who filmed and the people around.
General Ireneusz Nowak, the Polish Air Force inspector, said at a press conference that Jør did not escape from the military aircraft and died on the spot.
He described Jør as a great pilot who set high standards for himself and his students. All pilots and soldiers mourned his unexpected death.
After the accident, authorities announced the cancellation of the 30th anniversary celebration of the Naval Aviation Brigade.
