Greece has been hit by a heat wave for days. Due to the high temperature of over 40 degrees Celsius, more tourist attractions were closed in the afternoon. Primary schools and nurseries across the country were also closed. On the other hand, many Spanish cities were flooded due to heavy rains.

Affected by the hot air blowing from North Africa, the highest temperature in some parts of Greece was close to 43 degrees Celsius. Many tourist attractions were opened to avoid the high temperature period. Many tourists were still fully armed and rushed to visit the famous attraction, the Acropolis of Athens, before it closed.

One tourist said: "Although it is hot, I don't mind it too much."

Another tourist said: "We waited in line for 30 minutes. I know the view is beautiful but it should be scorching hot."

The heat is oppressive, and people are trying every means to cool down. In Athens, people flocked to the beach, and many elderly people also went to the summer resort set up by the city government to cool down. The Athens City Government also cooperated with the police and the Fire Department to use drone patrols to provide timely assistance to people in need, and to pay attention to wildfires that may be reignited due to strong winds in ten high-risk areas. This wave of heat is expected to subside on Saturday.

On the other hand, parts of Spain were ravaged by strong winds and rainstorms, causing floods and flooding everywhere. Rescue workers went to the disaster area to assist the trapped people. The airport runway in Palma, the capital of Mallorca, a popular tourist destination, was once flooded, causing flights to be suspended.
