The People's Association's (PA) PAssion Wave satellite station, located at Marina Bay, is scheduled to open next year, enabling the public to engage in leisure water sports such as kayaking, pedal boating, and dragon boating in Marina Bay.
Today (the 14th), celebrating the 50th anniversary of PAssion WaVe, about a thousand people gathered at the Marina Bay waterfront area to participate in orienteering and dragon boat challenges.
Zaqy Haroon, Senior Minister of State for the Ministry of Manpower and the Ministry of Defence, officiated the launch of the new facility at Bayfront, stating that this is an exciting development and an important milestone.
Zaqy Haroon mentioned that while the Bayfront area already brims with vitality, he believes the new facility will bring even more vibrancy and cohesion to the area. Not only will it provide opportunities for water sports for the community, but it will also serve as a gathering spot for those working in the city, adding color to the Bayfront vicinity.
The PA stated that after the new facility opens, besides invigorating our city's waterfront area, it will also make leisure water activities more accessible to the public, with costs kept within affordable levels for residents.
