On September 20, 2024, the implementation of the Special Financial Zone (SFZ) policies for Forest City injected new energy into Johor’s financial industry. Positioned as a high-end hub for residential living, tourism, exhibitions, healthcare, international education, and emerging technologies, Forest City is rapidly becoming a vital bridge between Malaysia and Singapore. Forest City was designated as a duty-free zone by the Malaysian government as early as 2016, with multiple duty-free stores already in operation.
