身着显眼背心 垃圾虫被令清理小印度一带

为遏止乱丢垃圾行为,多名屡次犯规的垃圾虫今日被令身穿显眼的粉红背心,在公众眼前清理他们曾乱丢垃圾的小印度一带,包括竹脚、巴生巷(Klang Lane)和彰德路。
文化、社区及青年部政务部长陈圣辉今天(15日)通过Facebook发文指出,这些人是在劳改令(Corrective Work Order)框架下受罚。
他也感谢小印度竹脚工作小组(Little India Tekka Taskforce),以及国家环境局、新加坡人力部、人力部ACE小组、公共卫生理事会、梧槽警署、竹脚居民委员会、竹脚市场协会、小印度商会(LiSHA)以及客工伙伴工作小组(Migrant Guest Taskforce)共同参与这项执法与教育并重的社区整洁行动。
为了更有效识别垃圾虫,当局已在该区安装监控摄像系统,加强执法。
陈圣辉说,执法团队将持续加强力度打击乱丢垃圾行为,未来几个月将有更多类似的执行行动
